Over the course of my collegiate and professional career, I’ve become increasingly aware of a problem that students and professionals have difficulty overcoming. The problem is simple. Most people do not know how to deliver a good presentation that will leave a lasting impression on their audience and ultimately bring them success. I believe with coaching and constructive feedback, a mediocre presentation can be refined to be an effective dynamic success. If students and professionals could solicit constructive feedback on their presentations before they actually delivered them, they would be better equipped and more confident to deliver the final presentation when that big moment arrives.
With this website I hope to provide this type of constructive feedback and coaching so that anyone can improve their presentation to become a dynamic successful speaker. To get this blog started I will be reviewing well known and some little known speeches to provide some insight to readers who are interested in improving their presentation skills. Ideally, I would like you, the presenter, to send me a link to your video and I will post it on this blog so that other people can comment and grade your rehearsed presentation.
I welcome anyone who visits this site to grade and comment on any of the presentations. Also if you have any ideas for improving this site please send me an e-mail I would love to hear from you. For those of you that are currently taking a speech class, please tell people about this blog so that others can benefit from it as well. As more people begin to use this forum the better it will be.
Thanks,
Christopher Meyer
